Polyester & synthetics
Tough but very heat-sensitive.
- Polyester, nylon, spandex and acetate are very heat-sensitive fibers. [1]
- Machine or hand wash polyester warm; tumble dry low or hang; iron on low only — the fabric will melt if the iron is too hot. Polyester is prone to pilling. [2]
- Acrylic: machine wash warm to cold; dry sweaters flat; do not iron. [2]
