Rayon / viscose
Weak when wet — handle gently.
- Rayon is a highly absorbent cellulosic manmade fiber. [1]
- Viscose weakens when wet: hand wash in cold water with a delicate detergent, press water out without wringing or twisting, dry flat in its natural shape or hang to dry, and never machine dry (it may shrink). Items tagged dry-clean-only should not be washed. [2]
